Crocosaurus Cove, located in the heart of Darwin city, showcases the world’s largest display of Australian reptiles, including the iconic saltwater crocodile!
Crocosaurus Cove’s unique facility and animal encounters serve to educate visitors on the importance of valuing and preserving Australia’s native wildlife, and encourage a peaceful co-existence between humans and reptiles in the Northern Territory and beyond. All animal handling opportunities are optional and supervised by our trained animal handlers and photographers.
Aside from general entry, the attraction is home to some of Australia’s most unique reptile experiences.
Royal Flying Doctor Service Darwin
One started Territory operations in 1939, the other, occurred in 1942 as an act of aggression unparalleled on Australian soil. Both forged the resolve and resilience of the people who live in Australia's Northern Territory.
Located at Stokes Hill Wharf in Darwin at the site of the Bombing of Darwin on the 19th of February in 1942, the RFDS Tourist Attraction opened in 2016 and has since welcomed visitors from around Australia and around the world.
Utilising technology and Virtual Reality to showcase the Northern Territory’s unique history, the attraction successfully brings two very famous stories to life.
The first iconic story is the Royal Flying Doctor Service, affectionately known throughout Australia as the RFDS.

Royal Flying Doctor Service Alice Springs
The original RFDS Alice Springs working base that commenced in 1939.

Learn about the history and the activities of the RFDS’s pilots, engineers, doctors and nurses, and the experiences of the patients that are carried and cared for each day. Learn the importance of the RFDS to outback Australians and the medical care required to service isolated regions.
The Reverend John Flynn, founder of the Royal Flying Doctor Service (RFDS), has been brought back to life to tell the story of the foundation of the world famous aeromedical service. The pioneering holographic show forms the centrepiece of the facility as Flynn tells the story of his vision and its realisation into the RFDS of today.
